El Dorado Luis Carlos Galán Sarmiento International Airport is located in the west of the city of Bogotá, 15 kilometers from the city center. It is bordered to the south by the Fontibón neighborhood, to the north by Engativá and to the west by the municipality of Funza and the Bogotá River.
